Yea, top-class work from Alex Hack-Job racing, there.

Glad they took the oil lines out with it.

Results would suggest that their use should be HIGHLY discretionary.

Just in case you were wondering, split second racecar fixes and split second percussion equipment fixes are remarkably similar.

Tommy Kendall said they should have hooked it to one side of the wing, ran it through the cockpit, and hooked it up on the other side.

Is AJ still involved in the team? I know they’re flat called Weathertech Racing now, and I have no idea if the old man is still there.

I know they’ve kept Macneil and Keen though

They should have just gotten a longer wrench and undone the damn bolt to start with. It’s tough to think clearly when you are awash with heat from the engine, things are going wrong, and there is the pressure of a race on, but that’s what separates truly well-run programs from the rest. Racing is tough enough as it is, don’t make it harder by pulling hackjob repairs if you don’t need to.

Had they taken the time to do it right the first time, even if the stop was a little longer, they would have been in better shape overall. Whoever approved that bodge and sending the car back out with the aero in that condition (I am still unsure the other mounting plate was ever properly resecured) should have their employment seriously reconsidered. Shameful.
